Had about 0.5cm of freak snow, here, last week, but it didn't last long. It's
been 13 years since the last (appreciable) snowfall...

Tuesday, they say.

No, pretty much normal for here. Cold all the last week. A couple of
inches (5 cm) of snow now that fell this morning.

I had clear skies a few days ago, but still the slight glimmer of what
was probably the comet's head was all I could see. Too much glowing
haze in the southwestern sky to see the tail.

It's just not fair!

Guy down the road has his own (rotating?) dome--looks like it could hold a
nice 50cm reflector. He's on the North side of a small ridge . . . and I
thought I was ****ed.
